He was a member of the South Dakota Stockgrowers Association, the F.J. ![]() Walter loved ranching and farming, especially haying, raising horses, and feeding his cows. Walter and Lucille returned to the Huether homestead where they operated the family ranch until moving into Wall in 1997. Shortly after their marriage, his ship was decommissioned, and Walter received an honorable discharge on June 9, 1946. Walter was united in marriage to Lucille Doughty on Apin Elizabeth City, North Carolina. He served on the USS Goshen during World War II. Walter entered the United States Navy on June 30, 1944. He grew up and went to school on horseback to North Conata and Conata Schools. Huether was born Januin Rapid City, South Dakota, the son of Christian Huether, Sr. Walter George Huether, age 79, of Wall, died Wednesday, February 09, 2005, at the Ft.
